Description

Romantically tucked away within the embrace of the serene Itria Valley, this villa emerges as an epitome of refined elegance and rural tranquility, seamlessly intertwining the modern aesthetics with nature's untouched beauty. Here, every element, every detail, is meticulously curated to offer an experience that transcends the ordinary – a personalized sojourn that imbibes the soul with the essence of the surrounding nature and cultural richness.

The journey begins with a leisurely stroll through the lush tapestry of Mediterranean scrub. Here, nature's symphony performs, the wind, a skilled conductor, orchestrates a harmonious dance of native scents – myrtle and rosemary, mastic and mint, lavender, broom, and carob. They rise, blend and linger, composing a sensory sonata that guides the soul through an immersive journey of discovery.

Ancient dry stone walls stand as silent witnesses to a bygone era, their robust structure embodying the logical and spontaneous manifestations of ancient local wisdom. Each stone, each curve is a chapter of a narrative, chronicling tales of times when these walls delineated the intimate outdoor havens. As one meanders, steps carved out of limestone boulders reveal secret corners concealed within the embrace of silvery olive branches – a testament to nature’s guarded mystique.

Each room within the villa, circumspect in its design, is a world unto itself, narrating a distinct tale. The entrance from the farmyard unveils the "Pensatoio", an informal sitting room where the original limestone floors whisper stories of epochs past. In this space of subdued elegance, the eye is drawn to the mesmerizing "butterfly" installation by artist architect Camilla Castaldo, an artistic masterpiece inviting exploration and silent reflection.

The villa’s three bedrooms, embodiments of modern minimalism and convivial elegance, orbit around the kitchen. Each is a visual conduit to the covered patio, a sanctuary designed for the indulgence in the unhurried rhythms of the countryside. Steps away, the panoramic swimming pool unfolds as a corner of paradise, a haven where the gaze is free to wander, unbridled, capturing the nuanced dance of nature’s hues and whispers.

Separated by a mere few meters, yet a world apart, is the Cabana – a sanctuary for those with a penchant for the celestial. Here, beneath the silent watch of the starlit skies, the experience of the Itria Valley transcends the tactile and the visual. It becomes an intimate dance of the soul with the elements, an unuttered dialogue that lingers, echoing the unspoken poetry of a villa where elegance, nature, and history reside in harmonious coexistence.

BEDROOM DETAILS

Bedroom 1:
The old suite 'Casedda Ostunese' becomes a meeting place on cooler days; here the architectural sign is soft, modulated by the zenith light that penetrates from above, to leave a visual trace of the old imploded cone. The en-suite bathroom is full of decorative ideas: from mirrors made with scraps of designer fabric, to lamps and a large shower.

Bedroom 2:
Cippone - The botanical theme of the room is enhanced by the fabric by designer Livio de Simone positioned as a decorative panel on the custom-made canopy bed. The decorative wicker details are all vintage pieces, collected by the owner. In the bathroom the lime has been superimposed on the old patina of time. The shower was built inside an old cone. The nest-shaped chandelier was born from an idea of the interior designer, and created by the artist Paola Morra.

Bedroom 3:
Culumbara - In this room the exuberance of the oversized canopy bed, designed by the owner, an interior designer, draws from the past. The circular neon writing in Apulian dialect once again traces the roots of the place. The bathroom in this room appears as a volume detached from the rest. The design of this monolith brings inside a section of the circular architecture of the trulli. Like balloons, the Grillo lamps by Elise Fouin for Petite Friture.

Bedroom 4:
Cabana - It is the most magical room, designed for those who hunt for stars. A minivan that experiences a relationship of osmosis with the landscape, immersed in the Apulian nature.
