There’s just a bit of a star-struck child in each of us. Recalling our first or favorite childhood movie takes us back to a place of wonder and innocence. That’s why visiting the locations of these childhood memories creates such a lasting impression, even as world-weary adults. Here are a few of those spots to get you started on your trip down Memory Lane.

Of course, when one thinks of shopping and LA in the same sentence, what comes to mind? Rodeo Drive, of course!! This most iconic high-end shopping mecca thrilled us in Pretty Woman, Beverly Hills Cop and Clueless. Just don’t walk into any of the shops and ask the sales staff if they work on commission!

The “Hollywood” sign up in the hills above Hollywood may well be one of the most photographed spots in the US, if not the world. There are many routes to reach the pinnacle, some more taxing than others. If you’d like to save your energy for seeing more of LA’s sights, try Bronson Caves or the Griffith Park Observatory, both in Griffith Park, to get a close-up view without a hike.

Every movie fan knows about the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which runs 13 miles long along Hollywood Blvd. With more than 2500 names of our favorite movie stars, both past, and present, you’re sure to get plenty of selfies alongside your favorites.

Prolifically featured in a string of movies, including A Star is Born, Beaches, Some Kind of Wonderful and Escape from LA, the Hollywood Bowl is a superstar in its own right. Not only is it a wonderful place to see a show, it is also a park, open to the public and absolutely worth a stroll around.

With its famous venues including The Viper Room, The Chateau Marmont, The Whiskey A Go Go, and The Sky Bar, the Sunset Strip on Sunset Blvd. is a half mile long nod to excess, with its eclectic boutiques, huge billboards and over-the-top entertainment.
