Une Villa a Paris is a real luxurious gem in the City of Lights. It is a secret that is very hard to find, hidden behind a private courtyard, off an unassuming road. It is totally unexpected; no one could ever guess that they will find such a quiet, different and beautiful haven in the middle of frenetic Paris. Not a sound will be heard. You are in the heart of the city, just 10 minutes away from the centre of the Left Bank and the vibrant 5th and 6th arrondissements, whilst the fashionable and chic 8th arrondisement is not much further afield. But you feel as if you are in the countryside. Enjoy a cup of tea or something stronger in the Japanese garden, whilst you hide from the crowd, or for the more sociably inclined; entertain up to 20 guests with a barbecue on the terrace. This is a very different experience of living in Paris...
The villa has been decorated and furnished in an elegant, luxury contemporary style: white wooden floors, white marble and a white leather couch that can seat up to 14. White walls predominate throughout, whilst 6 metre high glass windows which open directly onto the garden and the terrace give a light airy feel in the already sizable 325sqm of living space. The owners are art collectors, and the white mood is only challenged by pieces of vibrant contemporary art mixed with Chinese Han dynasty antiques. It works very well.
Ground floor
The huge living room of 80sqm leads to a formal dining room with seating for 12 to 14 guests, and then onto the white lacquered gourmet kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine and seating area. There is also a laundry room and Guest WC.
Mezzanine floor
The Master quarters are located on the mezzanine overlooking the living room and the garden. The floor consists of a large bedroom with a King sized bed, a huge LED TV, along with recently redesigned marble his and hers bathrooms, with generous closets. It would be tempting to spend more time than necessary in the bathrooms, which feature, a chandelier, a marble bath, a fireplace, a rather wonderful walk-in shower and a marble wall that is lit from the interior.
Garden floor
The other bedrooms, Three plus a media room with a convertible sofa are located at garden level with garden access, and have all the amenities you would expect. All have Queen sized beds and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, basins and WCs.
