Chalet Pollux is one of our three unique - and until now impossible - Zermatt residences (our Chalet Gemini and Chalet Castor being the others): a luxurious free standing three story independent chalet with 4 bedrooms, large enough for groups of 8 guests each. Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. Side by side, tucked against a beautiful hillside, the numerous balconies and large terraces give you bird's eye views of the village and the surrounding mountains, encompassing all three of Zermatt's ski areas. Yet access is easy: 200m from the Matterhorn Express base lift station and resort run there is a street level tunnel which leads you to a lift (elevator) built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property. Skis and boots can be left in the tunnel's ski-room. Although it does not have a Matterhorn view, the chalet is bathed in sun as soon as it emerges. The chalet is a mirror image of Chalet Castor.
The chalet has been tastefully decorated under the supervision of Mountain Exposure, delicately combining an alpine, cozy and contemporary finish, with liberal use of wood and stone. It has all the latest technology with flat-screen TVs, more than a hundred satellite channels, fireplace and geothermal heating to reduce the chalet's carbon foot-print as much as possible.
The chalet enjoy the use of their own unique private outdoor hot-tub surrounded by snow (in the winter) perfect to relax and enjoy the view (or the stars') after a long day in the mountains.
Pollux is a rare gem; a large freestanding chalet in Zermatt which has been conceived to meet our clients' needs and wishes to the fullest possible extent.

Chalet Pollux is one of our exclusive 5 star fully catered properties. Included in the price are a professional chef and an experienced chalet host serving up our gourmet half-board dining service, an open bar, daily cleaning and shopping service and unlimited wine. Our gourmet dining service includes breakfast, afternoon tea, canapes and dinner on six days per week, accompanied by outstanding complementary carefully selected wines. A more extensive fine wine list is also available on request for an additional fee.
The chalet is accessed through a tunnel and an elevator. The entrance to the tunnel is 200 metre from the end of the ski runs beneath the Matterhorn Express lift station, just a 4 minute walk from the church square. This is an ideal location being close to the main lift station, the ski runs and the village centre. The tunnel and elevator bring you up high above the village providing a true sense of high mountain seclusion and tranquility with breathtaking views. From the elevator exit there is a 200 metre walk to the chalet entrances.The chalet comes with an electro transporter which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required. Ski equipment is left in the ski room down in the tunnel.
Chalet Pollux and Chalet Castor (also sleeps 8) are adjacent to each other and to our other 5 star freestanding chalet, Chalet Gemini, which sleeps a further 10 people. All three chalets may be rented together enabling a group of up to 26 guests to stay in the same location while benefiting from the space and privacy that only a sole-occupancy luxury chalet can provide.
