ARRIGHI was in time gone by a watch tower with an adjoining fortified farmhouse and has a commanding view over to Tuscany and all along the Niccone Valley.
It was meticulously restored in 2004 and now consists of three buildings: Main House, Guest Cottage and Bread Oven. The imposing L-shaped main house consisting of the former fortified farmhouse and watch-tower, is approached through the entrance gates, past the guest annex, up a short drive with Holm oaks and mature garden planted with ancient olive trees and Mediterranean plants.
A large paved courtyard with fountain leads into Arrighi which has some fine Romanesque features and the origins of the building clearly date back to the 11th Century. It has been renovated to preserve the austere external appearance whilst creating a spacious light modern interior with sandstone flooring and a glass encased external staircase tower. Extensive private grounds and generous 360 degree views, an 18 x 4 m overflow pool and vaulted pool house and the minimal interior make this a unique property.
Spacious master bedroom with windows on three sides, with en-suite shower room and separate bathroom, dressing room and TV sitting room/study, on first floor
1 large double bedroom on ground floor of the tower with en-suite bathroom containing square stone bathtub, direct access to the garden and courtyard
1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom on first floor of tower
1 double bedroom with walk-in bathroom on second and top floor of the tower
1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom on second floor accessed by steel and oak walk way around double height sitting room

About Castello di Reschio:
Reschio is a thriving, family-run estate whose history can be traced back to the beginning of the 11th Century.
Hidden amongst the hills and valleys of Reschio are nine houses available to let, from small cottages to substantial palazzos, forming part of the over two dozen properties completed to date.
Restored by the Bolza family from ancient farmsteads into breath-taking, light-filled modern houses, each is hidden at the end of miles of winding, private bridleways and set within its own landscaped Mediterranean gardens.
Amongst the most well-appointed properties in Italy, the Reschio houses are country havens where privacy, seclusion and proximity to nature have not come at the expense of comfort, technology and service.
At the entrance to the estate lies the imposing Castle which once guarded the Umbrian-Tuscan border. Today it awaits restoration but still houses the estate winery where every autumn the grape harvest is brought to be pressed. The working heart of the Estate lies a little further along the cypress-lined driveway. Here, beneath the Castello, Reschio's renowned stables and its private Osteria and Bottega can be found.
From here, miles of winding private estate bridleways take you up into Reschio's hills and valleys where wild boar, deer, porcupine, pheasant, partridge and hare thrive in the ancient oak forests.
Each Reschio house comes with the following basics:
High speed wireless broadband
An infinity pool with pool and garden maintenance
A fully stocked larder and fridge on arrival
Cupboards filled with fresh towels and linen
Large, soft pool towels
Ortigia bathroom products
Access to everything on the estate, including drivers, chefs, stables, shopping service, and estate Osteria and Bottega.
